Taylor Swift is the only woman in music history to release three #1 albums in a row, each selling more than five million copies, a milestone achieved only by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Michael Jackson. She’s written every song on all of her albums and has world-wide record sales of more than 22 million albums and 50 million song downloads. She’s won six Grammy Awards and is the youngest winner in the history of the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

She’s so trustworthy, never judges you and knows how to listen. We’ve been friends for four years and she has been through so much with me that I can say we’re almost sisters.

- Capricho Magazine: You have many famous friends, but who is your best friend?
- Taylor Swift: It's impossible to pick only one. I feel so close to all of them! My group of best friends include Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Dianna Agron, and Abigail, my friend from school.
We met in America, she’s very nice, yes,” a tongue-tied Styles said. “She is very talented,” he said, pausing to choose his words carefully. “She’s very nice… We’re friends.

She’s a great entertainer. You judge who’s entertaining by your audience and the response of your fans, and … they’re all great entertainers but I was just thrilled to death that she got it. She represents herself so well for the youth of today. I just wish so many more of the young people would follow her lead in that respect. There’s not a thing that kid can’t do: she’s beautiful, smart and talented. I really admire that; I was proud for her.

Taylor deserves it. I don’t think there is anyone with half a brain that would say otherwise. She has done a lot for us in country music. We are lucky enough in country music to call her one of us.

I dated a guy in high school for a while and I think that was, in a way, first love-ish. But then there’s the first time that you love someone more than you’ve ever loved anything, ever. That’s a different thing. Then there’s the time after that where you feel like you’ve loved a man more than anyone you ever loved in your life and that must be your first love because that must be the only time you’ve ever felt that kind of love. I think your life is full of first loves because every time you love someone new, you love them in a different way.

I get inspired by the smallest or the biggest things. You meet someone and you wonder if you’ll ever see them again. I could write so many songs about that. I have written so many songs about that. Wait till you hear my next record, it’s all about that.

The first thing I did was read the first book in about two days. I thought it would be an action-adventure type of thing, but it’s so much more emotional than that. There’s a huge amount of sadness.

Slipping into her mind was such a wonderful break. It’s pretty intense writing about my own life, my own struggles. It was almost like a vacation to get to write from someone else’s perspective.

I find myself writing about people— that happens a lot. But every once in awhile I write a song for someone. And that’s a little different because this is a song I wrote for someone who I was falling for and everyone else in our lives was saying that wasn’t a good idea

Eyes Open” and “Safe & Sound” are two songs that I wanted to represent different relationships in the story. To me, “Safe & Sound” represents the empathy and compassion Katniss feels for Rue, Peeta, and Prim in different parts of the book. “Eyes Open” is more of a depiction of Katniss’s relationship with the Capitol. She knows she can’t trust anyone in the government, and that’s why I wanted the song to feel more frantic—like the sound of being hunted or chased.

I wrote it about Katniss’ relationship with the Capitol. It basically serves as a warning for her not to trust anyone-in many ways the opposite of “Safe and Sound.
